Zach (15) working towards his Duke of Edinburgh Award. Building mini green houses and then painting the Chill Out Cabin a very pale green. Rachel was helping today.
Zach gave an interesting presentation to Astley Park School pupils on Wednesday about how to plant bulbs. The pupils then went into the polytunnel to plant onions, garlic and other bulbs up. They were put in the mini green houses to protect them. Great fun was had by all. Today Council operatives laid a limestone path through the centre of the polytunnel. Thank you everyone.
New volunteers Keiran and Corinne helped to clear brambles and grass from some of the railings bordering and separating the Railway from the hub before new screening is put up. There’s a long way to go yet but it’s already looking so much better. Thank you both for your help and jokes.
