On Wednesday 3rd October  at  Birckacre Garden Centre the winners of

“Chorley Best Kept Front Garden Competition” were announced.

The event was hosted  by Birkacre  Garden Centre,  Chorley Garden Society, Chorley in Bloom and  the Mayor Cllr. Margaret Lees was in attendance.

 

The winners were:-

Large Garden Category

1^st – Brian Melling,  Bury Lane, Withnell

2^nd – Michael Banks,  Wood Lane, Heskin

3^rd – Mr Howard, Merefield, Astley Village

Medium Garden Category

1^st – Gail Macpherson,  Firtree Close, Chorley 

2^nd –  No name,  Park Road, Chorley 

Small Garden Category

1^st – Margaret Sydenham, Beechwood Court, Coppull

2^nd – Ken Rutter, Bogburn Lane, Coppull

3^rd – Linda Stanton, Preston Road, Chorley 

Special Award 

Andrew Vose, 5 Peartree Ave, Coppull

Overall Winner – 

Brian Melling, 98 Bury Lane, Withnell

Iris Smith, Chairman of Chorley in Bloom  said “The quality of the gardens was fantastic, like the winners. Well done everyone. Thank you to the Mayor Cllr Margaret Lees for making the occasion even more special”
